Simon Custer is the founder and lead tutor for Palm Beach Tutoring. He has extensive experience providing individual instruction with an elite tutoring agency in the United Kingdom to students from 10-50+ years old, many of whom speak English as second language. His areas of expertise are U.S. College & University Admissions, Oxbridge Admissions in the U.K., and prestigious essay competitions like the John Locke Essay Prize. His students have been shortlisted for major Oxbridge Essay Prizes after receiving high quality tuition and have been accepted to leading universities around the world.

Simon earned a master’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Oxford, where his thesis achieved the highest mark in his cohort. His thesis grappled with the question of why there is anything at all, and draws from Early Modern thinkers, Nietzsche, and Buddhist philosophy. Before going to Oxford, Simon graduated from Yale University in 2020 with a B.A. in Philosophy, with Distinction. In addition, Simon has worked at some of the world’s most prestigious scientific research institutions, including the Max Planck Society and Fermilab, which has equipped him with graduate-level expertise in neuroscience and particle physics. Simon looks forward to working with students in both Humanities and STEM subjects at any level of instruction, as well as assisting students applying to selective colleges and universities in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
